UAE and SCC Middle East Launch Centre of Excellence for Cyber Resilience

A transformative partnership between the UAE Cyber Security Council and SCC Middle East will establish a regional hub for advancing artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and trusted technology adoption.
The UAE Cyber Security Council and SCC Middle East have announced an ambitious collaboration to establish a Centre of Excellence for Cyber Resilience and Trusted Technology, unveiled during the AI Everything Abu Dhabi conference. This strategic initiative represents a significant step forward in the nation’s commitment to building a secure and resilient digital economy.
The Centre will serve as a dynamic ecosystem where government agencies, enterprises, technology partners and specialists converge to evaluate cutting-edge innovations. Through carefully curated environments, participants will explore emerging technologies, validate real-world use cases, and develop practical strategies for secure adoption at scale.
A Three-Phase Strategic Roadmap
The partnership unfolds across three carefully structured phases. The first phase focuses on building national capability through executive education, hands-on laboratories and specialist development across artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, data management, cybersecurity and critical national infrastructure. This phase enables organisations to transition from experimental stages toward secure, scalable implementation.
Phase two establishes an incubation programme dedicated to UAE-developed cyber innovation. Selected startups and enterprises will test and validate locally created technologies against genuine operational requirements, fostering homegrown excellence.
The third phase creates pathways to international expansion, facilitating UAE-developed solutions in connecting with global customers, international ecosystems and commercial opportunities.
Leadership Vision and Collaborative Approach
Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, emphasised the Centre’s role in realising the nation’s ambitious digital transformation goals. “The Centre of Excellence will create an environment for government, industry and technology partners to turn that ambition into practical capability,” he noted.
Daniel Valle, Chief Executive Officer of SCC Middle East, articulated a pragmatic philosophy underlying the partnership. Rather than functioning as a technology showcase, the Centre will operate as a collaborative problem-solving space. “Our role at SCC is to connect those pieces. We start with what the customer is trying to achieve, bring together the right people, technology and expertise, and remain accountable for making it work,” he explained.
Both organisations will lead integrated delivery of the programmes, pooling their distinctive expertise and resources according to each initiative’s specific requirements. This collaborative governance structure ensures alignment between vision and execution.
