Ma’an Launches My Family Innovates to Build Sustainable Home-Based Enterprises
The Authority of Social Contribution – Ma'an has unveiled a comprehensive initiative designed to equip productive families with entrepreneurial expertise, enabling them to transform home-based ventures into competitive, market-ready businesses whilst strengthening community resilience.
In alignment with the UAE Year of Family, the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, operating under the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, has inaugurated the My Family Innovates programme, a strategic initiative devoted to supporting productive families in scaling their home-based enterprises into sustainable, commercially viable operations.
The programme represents a holistic approach to economic empowerment, furnishing participating families with essential practical competencies spanning entrepreneurship, business management, branding, digital marketing and artificial intelligence applications. Beyond technical instruction, the initiative emphasises market readiness and the development of robust commercial practices, ensuring families are thoroughly prepared to navigate contemporary economic landscapes.
Comprehensive Support for Diverse Communities
Designed to reach approximately 150 individuals throughout Abu Dhabi, My Family Innovates extends its scope deliberately across the community spectrum. The programme prioritises inclusivity by actively supporting low-income families and People of Determination, recognising that economic participation strengthens both individual households and broader social cohesion. By fostering entrepreneurial capability and nurturing business confidence, the initiative catalyses meaningful economic and social participation whilst generating benefits that resonate throughout entire family structures and their networks.
The programme functions through a collaborative ecosystem, drawing upon partnerships with stakeholders across multiple sectors and harnessing the contributions of dedicated volunteers. These volunteers serve as crucial facilitators, delivering hands-on mentorship and practical guidance that transforms abstract learning into tangible business competencies.
