The Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime has appointed Mohamed Shalo, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Communications at the General Secretariat of the National Committee for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism and Proliferation Financing, as Vice-Chair of its Advisory Board.

The appointment represents a significant recognition of Emirati expertise in combating financial crime and reflects the UAE’s expanding role within specialised international forums dedicated to financial security. Hamid Saif Al Zaabi, Secretary-General and Vice-Chair of the National Committee for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism and Proliferation Financing, emphasised that Emirati professionals possess the requisite knowledge and capabilities to contribute meaningfully to international initiatives addressing financial crime.
