Ektifa expands organic product range across Gulf markets with Bahrain partnership

Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Establishment signs strategic cooperation agreement to distribute premium organic foods throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain and wider GCC region
The Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Establishment, commonly known as Ektifa, has entered into a significant commercial partnership with Encyclo Trade and Better Foods to enhance the distribution and marketing of organic and wholesome food products across the Bahraini market and beyond.
The cooperation agreement was formally executed during the inaugural “Made in GCC 2026” Forum and Exhibition, which took place at Exhibition World Bahrain from 6 to 8 October. This strategic initiative underscores the growing momentum of intra-Gulf collaboration within the organic food sector.
The product range now available to Bahraini consumers includes Meliha Dairy, complemented by the Saba Sanabel line of flour and pasta offerings. These items are currently stocked across numerous retail locations throughout the Kingdom, demonstrating the practical commitment to broadening consumer access to premium Gulf-produced provisions.
Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabeh Al Teneiji, Chairman of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock and Chief Executive Officer of Ektifa, characterised the partnership as a pivotal development in the establishment’s strategic expansion across Gulf markets. He emphasised that the agreement facilitates the creation of robust commercial and marketing channels, thereby elevating consumer availability of Ektifa’s organic portfolio throughout Bahrain and the broader GCC region.
The partnership reflects Ektifa’s commitment to fostering collaborative commercial relationships among private-sector institutions throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. By establishing such alliances, the organisation seeks to strengthen the collective presence of regionally manufactured products and enhance the diversity of choices available to discerning consumers.
Dr. Al Teneiji noted that Ektifa’s participation in the Made in GCC Forum provided valuable opportunities for meaningful engagement with Gulf-based enterprises and institutions, enabling the identification of mutually beneficial cooperation prospects. He highlighted the particular significance of such platforms in catalysing intra-GCC trade expansion and fostering integration between the food production and industrial sectors across member nations.
The agreement exemplifies the broader framework within which the Made in GCC initiative operates, facilitating connections between Gulf companies whilst promoting the exchange of expertise and the development of sustainable commercial partnerships. Through such collaborative endeavours, regional producers are positioned to achieve considerable growth and market expansion across GCC territories.
