Amalfi Beach Lounge occupies Level 1 of Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri beside Khor Al Maqta, using the Amalfi Coast as a mood rather than attempting to recreate an Italian restaurant indoors. The hotel describes a laid-back lounge that changes naturally from day to night, while Experience Abu Dhabi notes turquoise and white styling with brighter yellow and orange accents. The creek views and sunset are the real architecture: this is a place designed for socialising outdoors, with the water and the light doing as much work as the décor.
The menu is concise and coastal
Shangri-La’s current menu leans into Mediterranean bar food rather than a formal sequence of courses. Tomato and basil bruschetta, zucchini fries, porcini arancini, charcoal-grilled octopus, fried anchovies and tuna tartare sit beside Italian charcuterie and cheeses. Desserts include an Amalfi lemon tart and espresso affogato. The food is calibrated for drinks and sharing, which suits the venue’s beach-lounge identity far better than a heavy restaurant menu would.
The closure is clear, so publication must wait
The important live-wire correction is operational. Shangri-La’s current first-party page explicitly states that Amalfi Beach Lounge is closed from June to September 2026 for the summer season. Experience Abu Dhabi still carries an active destination profile, but that is not evidence that the doors are open today. The venue therefore remains valuable in the intelligence set, with a current official menu, telephone, and well-defined concept, but it must not be published as an operating recommendation until Shangri-La confirms reopening after the summer closure. This is exactly the kind of seasonal status that a static restaurant database can easily miss.
