Emirates National Schools has achieved a remarkable distinction with the LEED Platinum certification of its Mohamed bin Zayed City Campus, establishing itself as the first school campus in the Middle East to receive this coveted recognition from the US Green Building Council. The achievement positions the campus among the world’s most exemplary educational environments, ranking seventh globally among schools serving comparable year groups.
The certification represents comprehensive excellence across multiple dimensions of environmental stewardship. The Director-General emphasised the intrinsic connection between environmental responsibility and educational excellence: “Sustainability is directly connected to our vision of preparing future leaders. The educational environment is an integral part of the student experience, and we are committed to ensuring that our schools reflect the values of responsibility, sustainability and the conscious use of resources.”
