ZOE has always understood the value of making the room support the food. The restaurant’s blue-and-white palette, waterfront terrace and Santorini-inspired details give Marsa Al Bateen a convincing Greek mood without needing to become theatrical. The menu follows the same modern-but-recognisable approach: Greek salad, dips, souvlaki, meatballs and spanakopita sit beside contemporary dishes such as pastitsio croquettes, seafood pasta and more polished dessert work. The result is casual enough for breakfast or lunch but visually strong enough to feel like a proper evening destination.

The menu works best when the table is shared

Current delivery listings still show a broad live menu with salads, starters, mains, dips, desserts and children’s dishes, while previous restaurant material highlighted grilled octopus, shrimp saganaki, beef moussaka, seafood linguine and Greek pastries. That range captures the best part of the concept: familiar Greek comfort food with enough modern technique to stop the menu feeling like a copy of a taverna abroad. Marsa Al Bateen adds another layer. The marina setting means outdoor tables can look towards yachts and water, which is particularly effective through Abu Dhabi’s cooler months.

Unfortunately, the operating evidence now contradicts itself

The publication safeguard has to override the attractiveness of the story. Experience Abu Dhabi’s current Marsa Al Bateen page still names ZOE among the marina’s restaurants. Deliveroo currently accepts the restaurant as an Al Bateen delivery venue, and Tripadvisor presents it as open with 2026 information. Against that, Restaurant Guru explicitly marks ZOE permanently closed and says the status was updated recently. With no clear first-party website resolving the contradiction, Simply Abu Dhabi should not guess. The feature should stay ready but on hold until the restaurant answers directly or its official Instagram clearly confirms current dine-in service.
