The Art of the Sketchbook: A Creative Journey for Young Artists

We invite young artists aged thirteen to seventeen to embark upon an enriching creative journey at Manarat Al Saadiyat, where the Art Studio presents The Teen Collective: a captivating three-day course devoted to the transformative art of the sketchbook.

Over three consecutive sessions, participants will discover the sketchbook as an intimate sanctuary for creativity and authentic self-expression. Rather than viewing the page merely as a surface for drawing, young artists will learn to cultivate the sketchbook as a deeply personal repository—a space where observations, inspiration and boundless artistic possibilities converge in harmonious synthesis.

Through guided exploration and hands-on creative practice, participants will develop their artistic ideas across the pages, gradually transforming their sketchbooks into distinctive collections that reflect their unique vision and creative voice. This thoughtfully curated course encourages teenagers to view the sketchbook not as a preparatory tool, but as an artwork in itself: a tangible manifestation of imagination, reflection and artistic growth.

The course takes place over three days, from five o’clock in the evening until half past seven each evening, offering an accessible schedule for young artists. Manarat Al Saadiyat’s commitment to fostering creative excellence among Abu Dhabi’s emerging talent makes this an invaluable opportunity for teenagers seeking to deepen their artistic practice and explore their creative potential.
