Dubai Community Contributions Establishment Mobilises Over AED100 Million for Vital Social Initiatives

Jood has channelled substantial community resources towards 115 carefully curated initiatives across education, healthcare, family support and care for senior citizens and People of Determination.

The Dubai Community Contributions Establishment, known as Jood, has successfully mobilised more than AED100 million throughout the first nine months of 2026, directing these considerable resources towards 115 community initiatives developed in partnership with more than 25 organisations. This impressive achievement underscores the organisation’s pivotal role in translating community generosity into meaningful, sustainable social outcomes that enhance the quality of life across Dubai’s diverse population.

The initiatives supported by Jood encompass a carefully considered range of social priorities, with particular emphasis upon family support services, educational empowerment, healthcare provision, and dedicated assistance for senior citizens and People of Determination. Among the particularly notable programmes were the collaborative “Back to School” initiative, developed in partnership with Dubai’s Community Development Authority, and innovative healthcare projects supporting individuals with congenital heart disease, undertaken alongside the UAE Congenital Heart Association.

Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Jood, articulated the organisation’s philosophy with considerable eloquence. “At Jood, we view community contributions as an active partnership in social development,” she affirmed. “Their value is measured not only by the amount contributed, but also by the tangible and lasting impact they create in people’s lives.” Her remarks emphasise the Foundation’s commitment to the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the integrated model of community participation that unites individuals, institutions and the private sector in addressing the Emirate’s social priorities.

The Foundation has undertaken considerable technological advancement to facilitate broader participation in community giving. Jood’s digital platform has attracted more than 20,000 users since its inception, demonstrating the substantial appetite among Dubai’s residents and organisations for accessible, seamless mechanisms through which to contribute to social development.

Marwan bin Hashem, Chief Executive Officer of Jood, outlined the strategic direction for the forthcoming phase of the organisation’s evolution. The Foundation intends to strengthen its capacity to align contributions precisely with priority social needs, whilst simultaneously developing an integrated assessment system for identifying and responding to community requirements. Enhanced technological integration with partner organisations will facilitate improved coordination and accelerated responses to emerging social priorities.

“We are working to direct contributions towards priority projects and solutions and translate them into sustainable social impact,” Bin Hashem explained. “This will be achieved by strengthening integration with partners and developing institutional and technological capabilities, thereby improving the efficiency of responses to social needs and enhancing the value of contributions in serving Dubai’s community.”

These developments were examined during Jood’s third Board of Trustees meeting for 2026, where the organisation’s strategic trajectory was affirmed and further refined. Discussions encompassed ecosystem development, the organisation’s five-year strategic plan, digital channel enhancement, and partnership strengthening initiatives designed to optimise resource allocation toward social priorities.
