The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented its integrated platform of institutional support at the ninth Sharjah Investment Forum, demonstrating the emirate's commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth and international business expansion.
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry graced the ninth edition of the Sharjah Investment Forum 2026 as a strategic partner, presenting a comprehensive showcase of its integrated business ecosystem designed to nurture entrepreneurial ambition and facilitate corporate expansion. Held from 14 to 15 October under the distinguished theme ‘Building Adaptive Economies’, the forum attracted more than 10,000 participants and elite business visitors representing over 60 countries, alongside more than 80 eminent speakers encompassing ministers, policymakers, investors, global business leaders and industry experts.
The Chamber’s dedicated platform illuminated the services and capabilities of its key institutional pillars, namely the Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre (Tahkeem) and the Sharjah Exports Development Centre (SEDC). These institutions collectively endeavour to elevate private sector competitiveness, facilitate international market access and create a fertile environment for business flourishing and prosperity.
Throughout the forum, the Sharjah Chamber engaged in a series of substantive meetings and business consultations with representatives of economic entities, investors and business leaders from across the globe. These dialogues centred upon strengthening bilateral trade and investment cooperation, identifying synergistic partnership opportunities and discerning emerging market prospects across regional and international landscapes.
Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, articulated Sharjah’s unwavering dedication to establishing itself as a distinguished regional and international investment destination. He emphasised that this distinction derives from the emirate’s remarkably diversified economic foundation, the sophisticated integration of its essential sectors and the abundance of compelling investment opportunities it presents to discerning entrepreneurs and enterprises.
The Chamber participated in a panel discussion titled ‘Beyond Ease of Doing Business: Building Economies Where Businesses Grow’, featuring Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector. The deliberations articulated the essential prerequisites for cultivating an integrated economic environment wherein enterprises may flourish, innovate and expand their horizons. Participants underscored that competitive distinction extends considerably beyond facilitating market entry, encompassing instead the provision of sustained conditions enabling enduring success and perpetual expansion.
Al Shamsi expounded upon Sharjah’s considerable competitive advantages and the multifaceted investment opportunities accessible across its economically diversified sectors. He emphasised that the continued success and expansion of established investments bears eloquent testimony to the confidence the business world reposes in Sharjah’s progressive environment and its demonstrable capacity to foster sustainable and meaningful growth.
