Deputy Ruler of Sharjah Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Health Clinic in Mindanao
H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi opens newly renovated medical facility in Philippines, delivering comprehensive healthcare to underserved communities
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, has inaugurated the Dinas Health Clinic in the Dinas area of the Philippine island of Mindanao, marking a significant milestone in the region’s access to quality medical services.
The clinic’s renovation was realised through the steadfast support of the “Alam wa Amal” programme, a compassionate initiative broadcast on Sharjah TV under the auspices of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, undertaken in close cooperation with Sharjah Charity International. This collaborative endeavour exemplifies the UAE’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian advancement across vulnerable communities worldwide.
Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Charity International, underscored how these charitable undertakings in Mindanao embody the visionary directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to elevate living conditions and provide essential support to those in impoverished areas. The longstanding partnership between Sharjah Charity International and the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority has delivered transformative projects across numerous nations, benefiting thousands of individuals through initiatives spanning housing, healthcare, vocational development, Arabic language education, and Quranic education.
The newly inaugurated facility comprises a comprehensive array of medical amenities designed to serve the diverse healthcare requirements of local residents. Consultation rooms accommodate both general practitioner and dental services, whilst dedicated spaces address maternal and newborn care alongside emergency provisions. The clinic further features a pharmacy and a modern diagnostic laboratory equipped with cutting-edge technology.
The medical infrastructure includes an advanced diagnostic unit furnished with contemporary imaging capabilities, encompassing X-ray and ultrasound machinery, alongside specialised equipment for maternal and newborn care. The facility is outfitted with electrocardiogram machines, vital signs monitors, and comprehensive emergency response apparatus to address urgent medical situations. Operational equipment facilitates seamless patient admission, discharge procedures, and the delivery of holistic healthcare services.
During his visit, His Highness toured the clinic’s various departments, receiving detailed briefings on the sophisticated medical equipment and contemporary facilities designed to optimise healthcare delivery. The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah exchanged commemorative gifts with senior officials from the Dinas area and joined administrative and medical personnel for commemorative photographs.
The delegation accompanying His Highness included Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director-General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, Tariq Saeed Allay, Director-General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Media Council, and various officials.
