UAE Ministry of Interior Advances Global Road Safety Through International Collaboration
The Federal Traffic Council represents the Emirates at the 42nd International Road Safety Data and Analysis Group meeting in Paris, showcasing the nation's commitment to intelligent traffic management systems.
The Ministry of Interior, acting through the Federal Traffic Council, participated in the 42nd meeting of the International Road Safety Data and Analysis Group in Paris from 14th to 16th October 2026, convening alongside esteemed international experts in the fields of road safety and data analysis.
The UAE delegation, headed by Brigadier Juma Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, brought together a distinguished cohort of traffic management professionals and academics. The team included Eng. Abdullah Ghaleb Al Falasi and Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Amna Mohammed Al Saadi, a faculty member at the Police College, alongside Dr. Engineer Sumaya Al Neyadi of the Integrated Transport Centre and First Lieutenant Fatima Al Hammadi.
Dr. Al Neyadi presented a paper addressing ‘The Intelligent Traffic Safety Management System’, articulating the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in reshaping traffic safety frameworks. The presentation explored how advanced technologies enhance data analysis capabilities, enable predictive modelling of traffic risks, and facilitate the development of sophisticated solutions designed to substantially diminish road accidents. This contribution underscored the UAE’s position at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technology with practical traffic management initiatives.
The Ministry’s participation underscores the nation’s steadfast commitment to strengthening international cooperation, fostering the exchange of expertise and established best practices, and embracing contemporary experiences and technological innovations to elevate road safety standards across borders.
