Sharjah Ruler Approves Organisational Framework for Department of Government Relations

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi has issued an Emiri Decree establishing the governance structure for the Department of Government Relations in Sharjah.

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree approving the organisational structure of the Department of Government Relations in the Emirate of Sharjah, reinforcing the Emirate’s commitment to effective governance and streamlined institutional operations.

The decree establishes the foundational framework for the department, which shall serve as the cornerstone of governmental coordination and inter-agency relations within Sharjah’s administrative apparatus. The issuance of this comprehensive decree reflects the Emirate’s dedication to maintaining exemplary standards of public administration and ensuring seamless collaboration across governmental entities.

As stipulated within the decree, the Executive Council is charged with issuing subsequent decisions to approve the department’s detailed organisational structure and implementing measures necessary to bring this framework into full effect. These measures shall include the approval of comprehensive job descriptions for all duties undertaken by the department’s organisational units, ensuring clarity and accountability in line with each unit’s respective mandate and responsibilities.

Furthermore, the decree empowers the Executive Council to establish, merge or abolish organisational units within the departments listed in the general organisational structure as circumstances and operational requirements dictate.
