Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit 2026 Convenes to Advance Preventive Healthcare Innovation

Leading healthcare professionals and policymakers converge at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi to explore groundbreaking approaches to disease prevention through data analytics, artificial intelligence and medical innovation.
The Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit 2026 has opened at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, assembling an eminent gathering of healthcare leaders, medical experts and policymakers united in advancing the frontiers of preventive healthcare and population wellness. This prestigious three-day symposium, concluding on 22nd October, represents a pivotal moment for exploring how emerging technologies and integrated healthcare strategies can fundamentally reshape disease prevention and health outcomes across the nation.
In his opening remarks, Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, articulated the UAE’s visionary commitment to constructing an integrated healthcare ecosystem founded upon prevention, quality of life and healthy longevity. The Minister unveiled the comprehensive “Healthy UAE” national approach, a strategic framework designed to weave preventive principles throughout healthcare systems and beyond, encompassing a multifaceted public health and wellbeing strategy that extends across numerous economic and social sectors.
A cornerstone of this preventive healthcare revolution is the UAE’s national genome programme, which has already encompassed approximately 920,000 individuals. The programme makes available genomic reports to consenting participants, enabling the identification of potential health risks and facilitating deeply personalised preventive care interventions tailored to individual genetic profiles.
The Minister further commended the remarkable resilience demonstrated by the UAE’s healthcare infrastructure, which has successfully maintained comprehensive services across hospitals and clinics whilst navigating exceptional regional circumstances, ensuring that routine procedures have continued uninterrupted. Reflecting this commitment to healthcare excellence, the UAE is now advancing plans to develop a unified national health emergency command and control system within the next two years, building upon Abu Dhabi’s established integrated model for coordinating emergency response, patient management and coordination among relevant authorities.
Beyond its domestic achievements, the UAE continues to strengthen its role as a regional healthcare leader. The Minister reaffirmed the nation’s steadfast commitment to international healthcare cooperation, including ongoing support for digital health initiatives in Jordan and across the broader Middle Eastern region, demonstrating the country’s dedication to advancing global health security and medical innovation.
