Sharjah’s Food Manufacturing Excellence Showcased at SIAL Paris 2026

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry presents compelling investment opportunities in the emirate's thriving food production sector to the world's leading manufacturers and traders.
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has successfully presented the emirate’s remarkable potential within the global food manufacturing landscape at SIAL Paris 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious international food trade exhibitions. Held from 17 to 21 October in Paris, the showcase underscores Sharjah’s commitment to expanding the international reach of its nationally produced goods and cultivating valuable partnerships with global manufacturers and investors.
Under the stewardship of Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, the delegation representing Sharjah at the prestigious exhibition comprised Ali Abdullah Al Jari, Director of the Sharjah Exports Development Centre, and Maha Mansour Al Zarouni, Senior Exhibitions Executive. The Sharjah pavilion featured an impressive array of government and private sector entities, alongside leading national food manufacturing and trading companies, including the Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Establishment (EKTIFA), Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority (SAIF Zone), and the companies Al Mehwar and PSL.
The exhibition served as an exceptional platform for showcasing Sharjah’s diverse portfolio of locally manufactured products and their compelling prospects for international market expansion. The emirate’s industrial foundation comprises more than 3,000 factories, with advanced food manufacturing facilities constituting over 25 per cent of this impressive total, supplying an extensive range of products to markets across the globe.
Throughout the exhibition, the Sharjah Chamber engaged in a comprehensive series of strategic business discussions with international companies, manufacturers and investors, exploring opportunities for meaningful cooperation and commercial partnerships. These conversations centred upon exchanging expertise regarding emerging trends and innovations within the food manufacturing sector, whilst also presenting the Chamber’s comprehensive suite of services and programmes designed to support the business community. Particular emphasis was placed upon the distinguished facilities and attractive incentives available to prospective investors.
Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi articulated the Chamber’s perspective, noting that participation in SIAL Paris 2026 reinforces the organisation’s strategic objectives of enhancing the competitiveness of Sharjah’s economic sectors and unlocking promising growth opportunities through the cultivation of strategic international partnerships. He emphasised that the food manufacturing sector represents a key industry offering substantial potential for development and innovation, particularly given the escalating global demand for food products and the contemporary focus upon diversifying supply chains and refining their operational efficiency.
