Classical Music Takes Centre Stage at Khalifa Public School

On 28 September 2026, a most enchanting musical experience unfolded within the walls of Khalifa Public School as the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, presented My First Concert to eager young audiences. Two morning performances brought the refined world of classical music to life through the artistry of distinguished locally based musicians: Viktoriya Zaharieva at the piano, Diana Pandova on the harp, Rumyana Gavadinova performing the cello, and Natalia Miteva serving as narrator.

Part of the ADMAF at Schools programme, this educational and interactive initiative represents a gracious commitment to nurturing artistic sensibility among the region’s emerging generation. The concerts transcended the conventional boundaries of performance, inviting primary students into an immersive exploration of classical music through the immediacy and authenticity of live performance. Young minds encountered the subtleties of musical instruments, discovered the enduring legacies of celebrated composers, and explored the diverse tapestry of musical styles that have shaped human culture across the ages.

Through this carefully curated experience, the Foundation sought to kindle a genuine curiosity within each student, encouraging them to engage with music not merely as passive listeners but as active participants in the creative journey. The programme fostered creativity and imagination, qualities essential to any cultivated sensibility, whilst cultivating a profound appreciation for the art form itself. By introducing classical music in such an intimate and accessible manner, the initiative exemplifies a sophisticated understanding of cultural education’s vital role in developing well rounded, intellectually engaged citizens.
