A strategic partnership between PureHealth and the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma'an signals a deepening commitment to extending healthcare reach and social innovation across Abu Dhabi's communities.
At Athar+, Abu Dhabi’s purpose-driven hub for social impact, two organisations have united around a vision that extends far beyond traditional philanthropy. The Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an and PureHealth have formalised a long-term strategic partnership designed to weave healthcare provision and community wellbeing into the fabric of Abu Dhabi’s social landscape.
The agreement, signed by Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri, Director General of Ma’an, and Shaista Asif, Group Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth, reflects a philosophical alignment that runs deeper than transactional charity. Both entities recognise that meaningful social impact requires sustained collaboration, integrated expertise and a willingness to direct resources where community need is greatest.
Through this partnership, PureHealth will extend specialised dialysis treatment services to community members, ensuring access to critical healthcare that might otherwise remain beyond reach. The collaboration encompasses cancer support programmes and a suite of future strategic initiatives, each designed to address the specific health priorities that Abu Dhabi’s residents face.
The partnership also supports the launch of Trailblazer – Ma’an Edition, a social innovation platform operating within Athar+ that channels creative problem-solving towards urgent community needs. In parallel, structured fundraising initiatives will channel contributions through Ma’an’s regulated platform, ensuring transparency and accountability in how every donation advances social good.
Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri articulated the underlying philosophy: partnerships, he noted, are fundamental to achieving lasting social impact. By combining expertise, resources and common purpose, organisations can create opportunities that strengthen community wellbeing and contribute to Abu Dhabi’s vision of a cohesive, thriving society. This sentiment echoes recent collaborations across the UAE’s social sector, as seen in initiatives that transform surplus resources into community care.
Shaista Asif emphasised that healthcare reaches its fullest potential when it transcends clinic walls to serve entire communities. PureHealth’s integrated Care & Cover healthcare ecosystem, when merged with Ma’an’s trusted platform for social giving, creates a model in which medical expertise and resources flow towards the health priorities that matter most to residents across Abu Dhabi and beyond.
This collaboration represents a broader shift in how social institutions approach community wellbeing. Rather than viewing healthcare and social support as separate domains, the partnership recognises them as interconnected elements of a comprehensive approach to human flourishing.
What it means for Abu Dhabi
For Abu Dhabi’s residents, this partnership translates into tangible improvements in healthcare access, particularly for vulnerable populations requiring specialised treatment like dialysis. The integration of cancer support programmes and forthcoming strategic projects signals a commitment to addressing multiple dimensions of health and wellbeing simultaneously, rather than in isolation.
Beyond individual patient outcomes, the partnership strengthens Abu Dhabi’s social infrastructure. By creating structured channels for community contribution and ensuring transparent stewardship of resources, Ma’an and PureHealth are building sustainable models that empower residents to participate meaningfully in social progress. This mirrors the broader institutional commitment to integrated, community-centred approaches that characterises Abu Dhabi’s evolving social landscape.
