Read by Emma, the Simply Abu Dhabi narrator.
From November through December, Umm Al Emarat Park becomes a canvas for contemplation and discovery. How the World Feels, an exhibition curated by Dana Almazrouei, gathers eight artists whose installations invite us to experience emotion through sight, touch and imagination.
Eko Nugroho’s Kenangan Kunang Kunang (Memories of Fireflies) opens a meditation on the ephemeral, while Sarah Afaneh’s the patient land, the gracious sun, the enchanting sea speaks to the enduring elements of our natural world. Aya Afaneh’s cosmo conste explores the cosmic dimensions of human experience.
The exhibition unfolds with works that celebrate connection and wonder. Moza Almazrouei and Meera Almazrooei offer Telephone, a collaborative piece that explores how we communicate across distance. Moza Almatrooshi’s The Pollinators Play Museum delights and instructs, celebrating the intricate relationships within nature. Where Wonder Hides, by Alia AlShamsi, invites us to seek beauty in unexpected places.
Hana El-Sagini’s Common Thread, Common Ground weaves together the shared experiences that bind us, whilst Nada Almosa, working with UT-R Studio, presents Where Wishes Grow, a reflection on hope and aspiration.
Set within the verdant landscape of Umm Al Emarat Park, the exhibition creates a gentle space where families and individuals can pause, reflect and reconnect with the sensory richness of art and nature together. Each installation offers its own invitation to wonder.
How the World Feels runs through 6 December 2026.
