Dubai Basketball and Red Bull unveil their partnership with the world’s highest altitude dunk

Dubai Basketball has welcomed Red Bull as the team’s Official Energy Drink Partner for the 2026/27 season, and the partnership was unveiled in truly spectacular fashion: with the world’s highest altitude basketball dunk, 303 metres above Dubai.

On the helipad of Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, in Al Wasl Tower, Dubai Basketball stars Dzanan Musa and Justin Anderson made history, Musa delivering an alley oop for Anderson to finish against the glittering skyline. Aerial footage followed the moment from sunset into nightfall, culminating in 600 illuminated drones forming the Red Bull and Dubai Basketball logos above the city.

Beyond the court

The partnership extends well beyond matchday. Red Bull will support Dubai Basketball’s ambition to bring the city closer to the sport by creating dedicated spaces for the local community to play, alongside digital and fan led initiatives with interactive voting and content across both brands’ platforms.

“Red Bull and Dubai Basketball share a belief in pushing boundaries and creating experiences that people remember,” said Dubai Basketball President Dejan Kamenjašević. “This partnership gives us the opportunity to bring that energy directly to our fans and the wider community.”

Now in its third season, Dubai Basketball is the first and only sports franchise representing Dubai and the UAE on the international stage, with a schedule spanning the EuroLeague and the ABA League.
