The World Travel Awards 2026 have recognised the breadth and excellence of Millennium Hotels across the Middle East, with nine properties across the region receiving distinguished honours. The accolades span from design innovation to consistent hospitality, affirming the collection’s commitment to discerning travellers seeking quality and refinement.
Recognition Across the Region
Millennium Al Rawdah Hotel in Abu Dhabi stands among the celebrated recipients, recognised as the Middle East’s leading design hotel. The property’s architectural presence and considered aesthetic have earned particular distinction, a testament to the thoughtful integration of form and function that defines the hotel’s character and appeal.
Within Abu Dhabi itself, two Millennium properties have been honoured: Grand Millennium Al Wahda has received recognition as the leading city hotel across both the UAE and the capital, whilst Kingsgate Abu Dhabi has been acknowledged as the leading budget hotel in the emirate. These dual distinctions reflect the collection’s ability to serve travellers across different preferences and needs, without compromise to service or comfort.
Excellence Beyond Abu Dhabi
The recognition extends across the broader Middle Eastern landscape. In Dubai, Grand Millennium Dubai has been named the city’s leading city hotel, a considerable honour in one of the world’s most competitive hospitality markets. Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai has received regional recognition as the Middle East’s and UAE’s leading airport hotel, establishing its position as an essential refuge for arriving and departing guests.
Beyond the Emirates, the regional portfolio has flourished with accolades recognising individual excellence. Kuwait’s Millennium Hotel has been honoured for its role in the city’s hospitality landscape, whilst in Saudi Arabia, M Hotel Makkah has been recognised as the leading budget hotel. Grand Millennium Sulaimani in Iraq has received the distinction of the country’s leading hotel, a landmark acknowledgement of the property’s significance within its city.
These honours, collectively presented at the World Travel Awards 2026, underscore a broader commitment across the Millennium collection to creating spaces where quality, design and genuine service converge. Each property, whether a design led flagship or a value conscious retreat, reflects an understanding that hospitality is fundamentally about attending to the needs and expectations of those who pass through its doors.
