The Academy Sailing Series Returns to Abu Dhabi Waters

Competition returns to the waters of Abu Dhabi as the Academy Sailing Series enters its third round. On Sunday, 8 November 2026, promising young sailors gather once more to test their skills against one another, their vessels cutting through the azure expanse in pursuit of excellence.

The series serves as a vital proving ground for emerging maritime talent, a place where the fundamentals of sailing craft are honed through genuine competition. The energy that surrounds such gatherings speaks to something deeper than mere sport: a commitment to nurturing the next generation of seafarers, to fostering the discipline, precision and courage that sailing demands of those who take to the water.

Each round builds upon the last, creating a narrative arc across the season. Young sailors refine their technique with every outing, learning to read the wind, to understand the subtleties of hull and sail, to make the split second decisions that separate the merely competent from the truly accomplished. The camaraderie that develops among competitors, the shared understanding of the challenges they face, creates a community bound by mutual respect.

Abu Dhabi’s maritime heritage runs deep, woven into the fabric of the Emirates’ identity. Today’s young sailors continue that tradition, connecting past and present through their commitment to mastery upon the water. The Academy Sailing Series provides the structure and opportunity for this lineage to flourish, ensuring that the knowledge and passion for sailing endures and evolves with each new generation.
