A steakhouse that knows exactly what it is
Acres Grill House does not bury its purpose under a complicated concept. Set within Yas Acres Golf & Country Club, it is an evening steakhouse built around fire, prime cuts and the green outlook of the golf course. The room is contemporary without being overly formal, which makes sense for a place that has to work for club members on an ordinary evening as well as couples arriving for a special dinner.
At the centre of the kitchen is the Josper grill, prized for combining the intensity of charcoal with the control of an enclosed oven. Here it is not a marketing footnote; it shapes the restaurant’s identity.
Blackmore Wagyu, dry-aged beef and cuts to share
The current menu gives the grill real depth. US Prime Creekstone Black Angus appears in striploin, rib-eye and tenderloin, alongside 35-day dry-aged cuts. The premium end moves into Australian Wagyu, including Blackmore MB9 striploin. Larger tables can go straight to sharing territory with tomahawk, chateaubriand and T-bone, while ribs, lamb chops, corn-fed chicken, seabass, salmon and Atlantic prawns keep the menu from becoming a one-note parade of beef.
The kitchen also understands the rituals around steak: béarnaise, green-peppercorn sauce, red-wine jus, chimichurri, potato sides and creamed spinach are all present rather than reinvented beyond recognition.
The setting earns its place in the story
The golf-course view gives Acres an advantage after sunset, when Yas Island’s busier entertainment districts can feel frenetic. Current diner feedback regularly mentions the decor, atmosphere and outlook across Yas Acres, while the official restaurant page emphasises a wine list of more than 100 labels. That makes the restaurant as suited to a slow bottle-and-steak evening as to a celebration.
There is restraint in that proposition. Acres Grill House is not trying to be a nightclub with steaks attached. It is a proper grill room, and that clarity is precisely why it works.
