Exhibitors to offer 35% discount at 35th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair

Participating publishers at the ADIBF will apply a 35% reduction to book prices across the 35th edition, from 13 to 18 September 2026, via the Fair’s authorised digital payment system.
Major discount aims to widen access to books
Exhibitors taking part in the 35th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair will offer a 35% discount on books and publications throughout the event, which runs at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from 13 to 18 September 2026. The measure was announced at a recent meeting organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), the Fair’s organiser.
The announcement was made in the presence of Saeed Hamdan Al Tunaiji, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre and Director of the Fair, together with Mohamed Rashad, President of the Arab Publishers’ Association, and Rashid Al Kous, Executive Director of the Emirates Publishers Association.
The ALC says the discount is part of ongoing efforts to make books more present in daily life, broaden access to knowledge and support a culture of reading and book acquisition. The reduction will be applied directly through the authorised ADIBF digital payment system, enabling visitors to benefit from the lower prices throughout the six-day programme.
Event highlights and participation
This year’s edition will welcome exhibitors from 95 countries, including seven making their debut at the Fair. The 35th ADIBF takes place under the theme ‘Let’s Turn the Page and Read the World’, marking three and a half decades of the event’s contribution to the global cultural sector.
Organisers expect the discount to give visitors wider opportunity to select titles that match their interests and to encourage book purchases beyond the Fair’s scheduled talks, panels and cultural programmes. The ALC describes the initiative as reinforcing the Fair’s role not merely as a gathering of publishers, writers and readers but as a platform to strengthen the public’s connection with books and to support the publishing industry.
By centralising the discount through the event’s digital payment mechanism, the Fair aims to streamline transactions for exhibitors and visitors alike while ensuring the reduction is applied consistently across participating stands. The move also underscores Abu Dhabi’s continuing investment in cultural infrastructure and its efforts to foster reading and literacy across the emirate.
Visitors will be able to browse the Fair’s full schedule of events and participating exhibitors via the ADIBF’s official channels ahead of the opening on 13 September.
