Sheikh Mansour and Angola president discuss economic partnership by phone

In a phone call on 15 September 2026, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President João Lourenço reviewed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation, with particular emphasis on economic, investment and development ties.

UAE, Angola seek closer economic and development cooperation

On 15 September 2026 His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, received a telephone call from João Manuel Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola.

The two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation and joint action, particularly in the economic, investment and development spheres, within the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership between the two countries. The call focused on advancing shared interests and promoting benefits for both peoples.

During the conversation Sheikh Mansour conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to President Lourenço, and expressed his wishes for further development and prosperity for Angola. President Lourenço reciprocated, sending his greetings to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and extending his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the United Arab Emirates.

President Lourenço extended an invitation for Sheikh Mansour to visit the Republic of Angola. Sheikh Mansour welcomed the invitation and expressed his aspiration to continue collaborative work with President Lourenço, guided by the vision and directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to broaden horizons for growth and shared prosperity between the two nations.
