ABU DHABI, 15 September 2026 — Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), met Bajram Begaj, President of the Republic of Albania, at the FNC headquarters in Abu Dhabi during the Albanian President’s official visit to the UAE.

Mr Ghobash welcomed President Begaj and described the visit as an important milestone in the development of bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and Albania. He said the meeting reflected the continuing commitment of both countries’ leaderships to advance cooperation, with particular emphasis on parliamentary and institutional channels.

The pair emphasised the role of parliamentary work and parliamentary diplomacy in fostering mutual understanding and strengthening ties between peoples. Their discussion covered a range of regional and international issues, and they reviewed recent developments on both fronts.
