Pavilion, publications and presence
TRENDS Group is continuing its presence at the 35th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, where its pavilion has drawn steady interest from visitors. The display introduces the Group’s refreshed corporate identity and makes available more than 500 diverse research publications produced across TRENDS and its five companies.
The stand has been designed to technical specifications that create a distinct visual identity and an atmosphere conducive to scholarly exchange. It has become a focal point for readers, researchers and professionals seeking the Group’s research output and knowledge projects.
Programme: dialogue, seminars and partnerships
Over the duration of the fair the Group is hosting a programme of dialogue sessions, research seminars, book signings and partnership signings. Among the Youth Council events was a dialogue titled “Artificial Intelligence and Culture”, featuring researcher Sheikha Al Nuaimi, a member of the TRENDS Youth Council, alongside researcher Najla Al Madfa, a member of the TRENDS Group Youth Council.
In a commercial partnership announced at the pavilion, TRENDS Group signed a distribution agreement with Manassa Distribution in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of TRENDS Group, and Rashid Al Kous, CEO of Manassa Distribution. The accord is intended to broaden the reach of the Group’s publications and strengthen their presence in publishing and distribution markets.
TRENDS, in cooperation with Bahr Al Thaqafa Foundation, staged a seminar titled “Technology as a Driver of Economic Growth: Prospects for the Digital Economy in the United Arab Emirates and the Region.” The session examined the role of technology in supporting economic growth, the ongoing transformations in the UAE’s digital economy and the opportunities and challenges presented by technological development for future policy and development.
Reflecting a commitment to research capacity-building, the TRENDS Training Institute organised a training session at the pavilion for students from local universities. The session covered the role of scientific research in knowledge construction, the skills required for participation in fairs and research dissemination, and the broader importance of developing research competencies among young people.
Activities at the TRENDS pavilion will continue through the conclusion of the fair, with further seminars, signings and youth-targeted initiatives planned to promote the Group’s research and engagement with the Abu Dhabi cultural and academic community.
