UAE President meets Ethara delegation after F1 Promoter of the Year award

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated Ethara on its 2025 F1 Promoter of the Year win and praised the role of UAE companies and talent in elevating Abu Dhabi’s events sector.

Recognition for Abu Dhabi’s events expertise

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a delegation from Ethara, the organiser of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, following the company’s receipt of the 2025 F1 Promoter of the Year award.

The President conveyed his congratulations to the Ethara team and underlined the central role that UAE companies play in building the country’s reputation as a premier destination for major international events. He also commended the contribution of UAE talent working across the events sector and characterised the industry as an important pillar of the nation’s broader development.

Ethara, which specialises in event, entertainment and venue management, has been instrumental in the growth of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and its associated festivals and activations. The company’s award reinforces the international recognition of the capital’s capacity to stage high-profile sporting and cultural events that attract global audiences.

The Ethara delegation expressed appreciation for the leadership’s support for the events industry and for measures to empower Emirati professionals to play an active part in the sector’s expansion and rising global standing.

The meeting in Abu Dhabi was attended by a number of senior members of the ruling family and officials, including His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, alongside other sheikhs and officials.

The reception highlights Abu Dhabi’s continued investment in the events ecosystem, emphasising public and private collaboration to strengthen the emirate’s global profile in sport, entertainment and tourism.
