EDGE Group Becomes Bronze Sponsor of Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup
The defence and technology conglomerate strengthens its support for international equestrian heritage through partnership with Emirates Arabian Horse Society
EDGE Group has entered into a strategic partnership with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), securing bronze sponsorship status for the prestigious Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup (EAHGC). The agreement underscores the commitment of leading UAE institutions to advancing equestrian excellence on the world stage.
The Cup operates under the distinguished supervision of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the EAHS Board of Directors and Chairman of the EAHGC Committee. This oversight reflects the significance placed upon the initiative as a vehicle for promoting Arabian horses internationally whilst providing comprehensive support to owners and breeders across the globe.
Mohamed Ahmed Alharbi, EAHS Director-General and Vice Chairman of the EAHGC Committee, emphasised that the partnership demonstrates substantial institutional backing for Arabian horse competitions. He noted that the sponsorship will facilitate the expansion of EAHS initiatives serving the international equestrian community, whilst the Cup has swiftly emerged as a leading international event that showcases the UAE’s custodianship of Arabian horse heritage.
Omar Al Zaabi, President of EDGE Commercial, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, stating that supporting events with global reach aligns with the organisation’s values. He highlighted that this edition of the Global Cup extends the UAE’s equestrian heritage across eight countries.
The third edition of the Global Cup commenced in Australia on 30th and 31st January 2026, progressing through Bahrain on 25th and 26th April and Morocco on 9th and 10th May. The American leg follows from 16th to 19th September, with subsequent stops in China on 6th and 7th October, Syria on 22nd and 23rd October and Italy on 7th and 8th November. The series concludes in Brazil on 19th November 2026, demonstrating the truly global character of this prestigious equestrian championship.
