UAE's Regulatory Framework and Strategic Position Cement Its Status as Global Forex Hub

Senior executives from leading international trading firms have highlighted the UAE's compelling combination of regulatory clarity, advanced infrastructure and geopolitical positioning as decisive factors driving increased investment and regional expansion through the Emirates.

The ninth edition of Forex Expo Dubai 2026, concluding this week at Dubai World Trade Centre, has showcased the UAE’s strengthening appeal to the world’s major forex and fintech enterprises. With more than 16,000 attendees on the opening day and over 270 exhibitors across five halls, the exhibition underscores the country’s growing prominence within the online trading sector.

Industry leaders speaking to the Emirates News Agency emphasised that the UAE’s regulatory environment, combined with its strategic location and world-class infrastructure, creates an exceptionally attractive proposition for international companies seeking to establish regional operations serving the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.

A Regulatory Framework of Distinction

Louis Guy Detata, Founder and Director of UEXO, identified the UAE among the most compelling destinations globally for forex enterprises, a position reflected in the substantial international participation at the current exhibition. The availability of licensing frameworks administered by the Capital Market Authority, Dubai Financial Services Authority and Financial Services Regulatory Authority affords companies meaningful flexibility in selecting an operating model suited to their regional ambitions.

Mohammed Almadhoun, Head of Middle East at Pepperstone, observed that Forex Expo Dubai 2026 reflects the UAE’s continued evolution of its regulatory architecture. The framework, merging federal CMA licensing with financial free-zone regimes overseen by the DFSA and FSRA, delivers exceptional transparency and robust investor protection—factors distinguishing the Emirates within the competitive global marketplace.

Strategic Geography and Talented Workforce

Khaldoun Sharaiha, CEO of ATFX MENA, highlighted the UAE’s exceptional geographic positioning, which connects Europe, Asia and Africa whilst facilitating straightforward market access across the Middle East and North Africa. Beyond location, he identified a clear and stable regulatory environment, a skilled workforce and governmental commitment to financial innovation as principal factors reinforcing international appeal.

Major trading firms utilising the exhibition are leveraging this regulatory clarity to construct sustainable operations and expand strategically across their target regions. The combination of transparency, government support and operational flexibility positions the UAE as an increasingly preferred destination for companies seeking stability and growth opportunities.
