Crown Prince Khaled Bin Mohamed Welcomes General Atlantic Leadership to Abu Dhabi

H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has met with William E Ford, Chairman and CEO of General Atlantic, to explore investment opportunities and regional expansion strategies for the global investment firm.
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has received William E Ford, Chairman and CEO of General Atlantic, in a meeting focused on deepening investment cooperation between the emirate and the prominent global investment organisation.
The discussion centred on the distinctive competitive advantages that Abu Dhabi presents to international enterprises seeking to establish and expand their regional and international operations. Both parties explored concrete pathways for collaboration that would leverage the emirate’s strategic position, regulatory environment and economic infrastructure.
General Atlantic’s commitment to the region has been demonstrated through the opening of its Abu Dhabi office at the Abu Dhabi Global Market in December 2024. This establishment marks a significant milestone in the firm’s growth trajectory, positioning it to accelerate investment activities and capitalise on opportunities across the Middle East, North Africa and Türkiye.
The high-level engagement reflects Abu Dhabi’s continued success in attracting leading global financial institutions and investment firms seeking to expand their footprint in one of the world’s most dynamic economic regions. The meeting underscored the emirate’s appeal as a gateway for international capital seeking exposure to emerging markets and established economies alike.
The meeting was attended by senior representatives from Abu Dhabi’s key economic and administrative institutions, including Jassem Mohammed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi; Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development; Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Office of the Crown Prince; and Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi, Deputy Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company.
