Dubai Police Leadership Council Reviews Strategic Progress and Financial Performance
Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri convenes senior command to assess institutional performance, construction initiatives and governance measures across the force.
Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, presided over the third meeting of the Senior Leadership Council, bringing together Major General Hareb Mohammed Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Affairs, alongside the Assistant Commandants and distinguished senior officers of the force.
The gathering provided an opportunity for the organisation’s most senior figures to evaluate comprehensive reports on institutional and financial performance, whilst charting progress across the department’s strategic initiatives. The discussions proved instrumental in reinforcing operational efficiency and ensuring that Dubai Police remains aligned with its stated objectives, all conducted in accordance with contemporary best practice governance standards.
A significant focus emerged from detailed briefings on the financial performance delivered by the General Department of Finance throughout the first half of the year. The Council examined key financial outcomes and assessed spending efficiency levels with considerable attention to detail. Complementing these financial assessments, senior leadership reviewed the status of construction projects, with completion rates reaching 77 per cent as of September 2026, demonstrating tangible progress on the force’s physical infrastructure development.
The General Department of Logistics Support presented its own financial performance report for the opening six months of the year, detailing resource management efficiency and supporting operational requirements. This presentation underscored the department’s commitment to sustainable performance delivery and reinforced its contribution towards broader institutional objectives.
Governance and oversight formed another essential component of the Council’s deliberations. The internal audit report received thorough examination, with particular consideration given to its principal findings. The Council subsequently approved the internal audit plan for 2027, thereby strengthening the organisation’s governance framework and institutional oversight capabilities. This forward-looking approach supports the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and procedural standards throughout Dubai Police.
The meeting concluded with presentation of the strategic indicators performance summary for the second quarter of 2026. This review facilitated detailed discussion of results achieved and the extent to which the force has progressed towards established targets. The Council also identified opportunities for development and continuous improvement, seeking to reinforce Dubai Police’s strategic directions for the period ahead.
