Crown Prince opens LIVEX 2026 to chart Abu Dhabi’s urban future

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has inaugurated the Liveability and Investment Exhibition, a landmark gathering of global investors and urban developers convened to shape sustainable cities of tomorrow.
His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has attended the Liveability and Investment Exhibition (LIVEX 2026), organised by the Department of Municipalities and Transport at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
During a comprehensive tour of the exhibition, His Highness visited stands showcasing innovative urban development projects and reviewed smart solutions designed to anticipate the needs of future cities. The displays presented pioneering initiatives from national entities and leading companies, reflecting the latest technological advances in sustainable urban planning.
Investment in smart cities
His Highness emphasised the strategic importance of investing in the development of smart and sustainable cities, highlighting the necessity of anticipating future societal needs and deploying cutting-edge technologies and innovations. He underscored how such investment enhances quality of life, improves service efficiency and creates integrated environments responsive to community aspirations whilst supporting long-term sustainable development.

LIVEX 2026 provides a significant international forum for showcasing projects, policies and partnerships that are reshaping cities globally and enhancing their appeal as destinations to live, work and invest. The event brings together an influential assembly of decision-makers, investors, real estate developers and public and private sector partners committed to exploring opportunities for deeper integration between liveability, economic development and urban growth.
The exhibition is attracting more than 1,500 investors representing leading investment institutions, international banking organisations, global asset management firms and major real estate corporations. These participants are engaging to explore opportunities for strengthening strategic partnerships and expanding investment cooperation across sectors fundamental to the urban development of future cities.
