Abu Dhabi to Showcase US$56bn Infrastructure Opportunity at Munich’s EXPO REAL
The Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre will lead a high-level delegation to EXPO REAL in October, presenting the emirate's capital projects and infrastructure priorities to global investors, developers and industry leaders.
Abu Dhabi’s commitment to strategic international partnerships will be prominently displayed at EXPO REAL in Munich from 5-7 October, where the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) will unveil infrastructure opportunities valued at more than US$56 billion to Europe’s leading real estate and investment platform.
The comprehensive Abu Dhabi delegation will represent multiple government entities, including the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, and Abu Dhabi Investment Office, alongside key private-sector partners. This unified approach underscores the emirate’s commitment to attracting global capital, technical expertise, and urban innovation to support its next phase of development.
The roadshow will emphasise Abu Dhabi’s priorities across housing, transport, culture, education, and social infrastructure, with particular focus on advanced engineering and construction capabilities, industrial technologies, and innovative building materials. Technology will feature prominently, with special attention to artificial intelligence, data-driven project delivery, digital twins, and smart infrastructure solutions that enhance planning, execution, and long-term operational performance.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, highlighted the strategic importance of the initiative: “Abu Dhabi’s next phase of growth requires partnerships that bring together capital, engineering excellence, and innovation around clear delivery objectives that prioritise long-term value.” He emphasised that Europe’s expertise in advanced construction and infrastructure systems complements the emirate’s ambitious project pipeline and delivery capabilities.
The ADIS International Roadshow capitalises on EXPO REAL’s expanded 2026 focus, which now includes infrastructure through its new InfrastructureNow platform. This specialised forum connects investors, financiers, developers, operators, and public-sector decision-makers around investable infrastructure and collaborative partnerships.
Eng Maysarah Mahmoud Salim Eid, Director General of ADPIC, emphasised the roadshow’s strategic purpose: “ADPIC’s role is to provide a clear, coordinated framework for capital projects and create the conditions for effective private-sector participation.” The delegation aims to establish qualified relationships with international organisations whose expertise can strengthen infrastructure quality, efficiency, and long-term performance.
The Munich roadshow builds upon substantial momentum generated by the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit 2026, which convened over 17,500 participants, 650 government officials and VIPs, and more than 100 speakers. Previous international roadshows in Singapore, Shanghai, and Türkiye have resulted in multiple strategic agreements and over 30 carefully curated partnership meetings across construction, engineering, technology, and urban development sectors.
Through its expanded international roadshow programme, ADPIC continues to extend the influence of the annual Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit, strengthening global partnerships and creating meaningful pathways for international organisations to participate in the emirate’s infrastructure development trajectory.
