Minister Al Kaabi Strengthens UAE–India Cultural Ties at Joint Steering Committee Meeting

Noura Al Kaabi and senior Indian officials convene in New Delhi to advance cultural cooperation across tourism, heritage and youth engagement
The Third Joint Steering Committee Meeting of the UAE–India Cultural Council took place in New Delhi, bringing together Minister of State Noura Al Kaabi and K. Nandini Singla, Director-General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, alongside senior officials from both nations.
The gathering marked a significant moment in deepening the cultural partnership between the two countries. Delegates reviewed the substantial progress accomplished since the previous session and identified fresh opportunities to expand cooperation, grounded in the shared vision of both nations’ leadership to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance connections among their peoples.
Discussions encompassed several strategic priority areas that reflect the breadth of cultural exchange: tourism development, sports collaboration, cultural heritage preservation, creative industries growth and youth engagement initiatives. Both delegations explored the potential for joint ventures, technical expertise sharing and the dissemination of best practices, whilst identifying opportunities for enhanced cooperation among cultural institutions and key stakeholders across both nations.
Minister Al Kaabi emphasised the Council’s pivotal role in translating high-level diplomatic vision into tangible outcomes. She highlighted the journey undertaken since the Council’s establishment, noting its transition from initial priority-setting to measurable delivery. She underscored that initiatives spanning heritage preservation, historical documentation and youth connectivity exemplify the profound nature of the UAE–India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the clear strategic direction articulated by both leaderships.
The Minister expressed confidence in the Council’s future potential, pledging continued close collaboration with Indian partners to broaden the scope of cooperation and ensure sustained benefits for both nations’ populations.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to positioning cultural cooperation as a cornerstone of their bilateral relationship. Delegates engaged in substantive discussions regarding the priorities shaping the Council’s next phase of work, establishing a clear roadmap for intensified engagement across all identified sectors.
