MoHRE Advances Sustainable Emiratisation Through Strategic Private Sector Engagement

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation showcases comprehensive support programmes during field visits to major companies, reinforcing its commitment to aligning Emirati talent with private sector opportunities.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has undertaken a series of field visits to leading private-sector enterprises, demonstrating its multifaceted approach to advancing sustainable Emiratisation across the UAE’s business landscape.
Conducted under the leadership of Dr. Farida Al Ali, Assistant Undersecretary of National Talents at MoHRE, the visits encompassed consultations with KONE Middle East, SYSTRA Group, AW Rostamani Group, KPMG Lower Gulf Limited, Turner & Townsend International Ltd, and adidas Emerging Markets. These engagements represent a strategic initiative to strengthen the Ministry’s partnership with the private sector whilst tracking progress towards established Emiratisation targets and supporting companies in their efforts to attract and develop Emirati talent.
Central to the Ministry’s approach is the presentation of comprehensive services and initiatives designed to facilitate the meaningful employment of UAE citizens. These encompass vocational counselling, development and training programmes, and targeted employment services. By carefully aligning the skills and aspirations of Emirati citizens with actual labour market requirements, MoHRE seeks to create sustainable pathways for employment, career progression and long-term professional satisfaction within the private sector.
For the second half of 2026, companies with fifty or more employees are required to achieve one percent growth in skilled positions held by Emiratis. The Ministry encourages organisations to leverage the Nafis platform, which provides direct access to qualified Emirati talent whilst facilitating access to comprehensive support services delivered through MoHRE and the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council.
Dr. Al Ali emphasised the transformative nature of these direct engagements, explaining that they enable the Ministry to listen carefully to companies’ concerns, identify specific challenges and collaborate on pragmatic, implementable solutions. She noted that the field visits serve to enhance awareness of available initiatives and effective recruitment tools, thereby improving job stability for Emirati citizens and strengthening their contribution to the nation’s sustainable development.
The Ministry has recognised the genuine commitment demonstrated by participating companies towards their Emiratisation objectives. Dr. Al Ali highlighted MoHRE’s ongoing collaboration with the private sector to align career opportunities with Emirati aspirations whilst addressing the operational challenges companies face in achieving these targets. This partnership approach, she affirmed, facilitates the attainment of Emiratisation objectives whilst simultaneously supporting companies’ business growth and prosperity.
