Deputy Prime Minister Celebrates Zayed University's Future Makers Class of 2026

Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan honours 371 graduates as the institution marks a significant milestone in its educational mission.

Abu Dhabi witnessed a momentous celebration of academic achievement as Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, attended Zayed University’s graduation ceremony for the prestigious “Future Makers” Class of 2026. The institution conferred degrees upon 371 graduates, comprising 255 bachelor’s degree recipients and 116 master’s degree holders, affirming the university’s commitment to developing the nation’s intellectual capital.

Addressing the assembled graduates and their families, His Highness underscored the significance of their accomplishment, extending his felicitations whilst emphasising their paramount responsibility to serve the Emirates, contribute meaningfully to its development, catalyse innovation and strengthen the UAE’s trajectory towards a knowledge-driven economy grounded in national excellence.

The distinguished gathering included Shamma bint Suhail bin Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Empowerment and Chairperson of the Zayed University Board of Trustees; Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation; Mohamed Hamad Al Badi Al Dhaheri, President of the Federal Supreme Court; members of the Board of Trustees; and proud families celebrating their relatives’ achievements.

Minister Al Mazrui reflected upon the occasion with evident pride, characterising the graduates as individuals thoroughly prepared to transition from scholarly pursuits into professional endeavour and positions of stewardship. She articulated the institution’s conviction that these graduates embody the values of knowledge application, integrity and purposeful contribution that define the nation’s aspirations.

Emphasising the foundational principle of human investment that undergirds the UAE’s renaissance, Minister Al Mazrui addressed the graduates directly, calling upon them to embrace lifelong learning, maintain unwavering sincerity and integrity in their professional endeavours, and translate their ambitions into meaningful accomplishment. She characterised their service to the nation not merely as opportunity but as a solemn obligation to reciprocate the trust and investment extended by their homeland.

The cohort represents a historic milestone for Zayed University, constituting the 25th graduating class of women and the 15th of men. Graduates emerged from eight colleges encompassing business, communication and media sciences, interdisciplinary studies, technological innovation, education, humanities and social sciences, natural and health sciences, and arts and creative enterprises, alongside distinguished postgraduate programmes.

The Class of 2026 brings the cumulative total of university graduates to 2,112, with 1,741 bachelor’s degree holders and 371 postgraduate recipients, underscoring Zayed University’s substantial contribution to the nation’s human capital development.
