UAE Attorney-General confirms co-pilot attempted terrorist act aboard flight FZ1073, attacking captain in cockpit during flight

The Attorney-General of the United Arab Emirates, Counsellor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, has confirmed that a comprehensive investigation into the incident aboard flydubai flight FZ1073 has uncovered evidence of a planned terrorist act.

According to preliminary findings, the co-pilot initiated his predetermined plan whilst the aircraft was in flight, breaching the flight deck and attacking the captain with a crash axe in an attempt to gain control of the aircraft.

The Attorney-General emphasised that investigations remain ongoing to establish the complete circumstances surrounding the incident, including the motivations behind the attempted act and any potential connections or affiliations. Authorities are conducting thorough technical examinations alongside detailed analysis of both physical and digital evidence.
