Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Ahmed Presides Over Tamayuz Excellence Programme Graduation

The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah honours 82 graduates of institutional and job excellence courses, underscoring the emirate's commitment to developing capable professionals across sectors
H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, marked a significant milestone in professional development by presiding over the graduation of the Knowledge Empowerment Programme in Aljada. The ceremony celebrated the completion of two distinguished courses delivered through a partnership between the Tamayuz Institutional Excellence Award and the University’s Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development.
Eighty-two professionals received their credentials at the event, comprising 29 graduates of the Institutional Excellence Diploma 2026 and 53 participants completing the Job Excellence Programme 2026. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Ahmed, who chairs the Tamayuz award, presented certificates to the cohorts and recognised the educators and administrators who facilitated their learning journey.
The Institutional Excellence Diploma equips organisational leaders with the knowledge and methodologies required to champion excellence standards within their institutions. Participants master the integration of award requirements with strategic planning and performance measurement frameworks, positioning them to drive meaningful operational improvements.
The Job Excellence Programme serves a broader audience of employees and supervisors, delivering comprehensive instruction across six specialised excellence categories. Graduates develop the skills to construct substantive nomination portfolios supported by measurable outcomes and empirical evidence from their working environments.
During the ceremony, participants shared personal testimonies through film, articulating the tangible value the programme had delivered to their professional practice. Mona Al Ghawi, General Coordinator of Tamayuz, and Dr Asmaa Nusairi, Director of the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development, addressed the gathering jointly, emphasising that organisational excellence emerges through sustained investment in human capital and the provision of contemporary knowledge and practical tools.
Al Ghawi highlighted how the partnership transforms academic scholarship into applicable solutions, with participants departing equipped with bespoke projects rooted in authentic workplace contexts. Dr Nusairi reinforced the significance of continuous professional education as an institutional responsibility, enabling practitioners to maintain and expand their expertise throughout their careers.
Professor Esameldin Agamy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, articulated Sharjah’s philosophical approach to excellence, positioning personnel at the fulcrum of developmental progress. He underscored that institutional quality ultimately reflects the calibre of those delivering services, and commended the synergy between Tamayuz’s standards expertise and the university’s pedagogical capabilities. Professor Agamy encouraged graduates to champion excellence principles within their organisations and expressed enthusiasm for expanding collaborative initiatives between the two institutions.
