A Celebration of Postal Heritage at the National Library and Archives

The National Library and Archives invites us to explore a fascinating chapter of the Emirates’ cultural narrative through the Postal Stamps and Collectibles Exhibition, a celebration of the nation’s distinguished postal heritage. Organised in collaboration with the Emirates Philatelic Association, this thoughtfully curated exhibition offers an immersive journey through the history of postal services and their profound role in building connections across generations.

Postal systems represent far more than mere mechanisms of communication; they embody the spirit of connection, commerce and cultural exchange that has defined societies throughout history. The UAE’s postal heritage carries within it stories of progress, innovation and the remarkable evolution of how we remain connected to one another across vast distances and through the passage of time.

The exhibition presents an opportunity to discover the artistry and significance of postal stamps and collectibles, each a diminutive masterpiece that reflects the values, achievements and aspirations of the nation. These artefacts serve as tangible records of the Emirates’ development and its place within the global community.

We cordially invite you to visit the Postal Stamps and Collectibles Exhibition at the National Library and Archives in Abu Dhabi from 13 to 16 October 2026, with opening hours from 9 am to 5 pm daily. Whether you are a seasoned philatelist or simply curious about the rich tapestry of UAE heritage, this exhibition promises an enlightening and rewarding experience that celebrates the enduring legacy of postal services in connecting hearts and minds across the generations.
