A Shared Vision: Innovation and Agriculture

A Shared Vision: Innovation and Agriculture

The story of the Emirates’ relationship with the land runs deep, woven through centuries of resourcefulness, adaptation and an intimate understanding of the desert’s rhythms. Now, a travelling exhibition invites us to discover how this heritage continues to inform the nation’s approach to agriculture, sustainability and development.

A Shared Vision: Innovation and Agriculture, presented by Zayed National Museum in collaboration with the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah, traces the evolution from ancient falaj irrigation systems to contemporary experimental farms. The exhibition explores the profound efforts of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi to advance agricultural practice and water management, revealing how their vision laid the foundation for the nation’s enduring commitment to development.

At its heart lies a fundamental truth: that traditional knowledge and modern innovation are not opposing forces but complementary ones. The exhibition illuminates how the wisdom of those who came before, combined with the ingenuity of contemporary practice, has enabled the Emirates to cultivate sustainability, cooperation and shared responsibility. These principles, rooted in the nation’s founding vision, continue to guide the path forward.

The exhibition travels from 5 November 2026 to 31 March 2027, offering visitors across the nation an opportunity to reflect on the values that have shaped the Emirates’ development and to consider their role in nurturing this legacy for generations to come.
