Abu Dhabi Cycling Club Unveils Laffa Initiative to Foster Cycling Enthusiasm Across the Emirate

Abu Dhabi Cycling Club has unveiled an innovative community initiative christened Laffa, designed to cultivate a flourishing culture of cycling participation throughout the emirate. Operating under the guiding principle of Ride Safe, Ride Smart, this complimentary programme welcomes aspiring cyclists of all ages and nationalities, regardless of prior experience, to embark upon a rewarding journey into the sport.
The initiative presents a thoughtfully structured approach to introducing newcomers to cycling, combining practical experience with essential educational components. Participants will benefit from expertly conducted rides at a gentle pace, carefully calibrated to suit those embarking upon their cycling adventures for the inaugural time. Complementing these rides are illuminating awareness sessions devoted to cycling safety protocols and sports nutrition, ensuring that participants develop a comprehensive understanding of the discipline from the outset.
Laffa will organise a carefully scheduled monthly cycling ride, rotating amongst three distinct locations across Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra Region, and Al Ain. This geographical diversity enables the initiative to showcase the emirate’s exceptional cycling infrastructure whilst making participation accessible to communities throughout the region. Each ride will be accompanied by prizes and giveaways, creating an atmosphere of celebration and engagement amongst participants.
The inaugural ride is set to take place at the distinguished Madinat Zayed Cycling Track in Al Dhafra Region during late October 2026, with precise timing to be confirmed subsequently.
