Abu Dhabi to Welcome 50 International Competitors for UAE Motosurf Championship Opener

The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club will host the inaugural round of the 2026 championship at Abu Dhabi Breakwater, drawing elite athletes from nine nations to compete in this exhilarating modern watersport.

Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club will play host to the opening round of the UAE Motosurf Championship 2026 on 24th and 25th October at Abu Dhabi Breakwater, welcoming fifty accomplished competitors representing nine nations. Participants hailing from the UAE, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Russia, Sweden, Italy, Bulgaria, Kuwait and Slovakia will converge upon the emirate to compete in this captivating watersport that demands an exceptional fusion of velocity, technical proficiency, equilibrium and precision.

The championship commences on Saturday, 24th October, with a comprehensive programme encompassing registration, technical inspections and a mandatory riders’ briefing, succeeded by official practice sessions at 10:00, followed by starting practice sessions and qualifying rounds spanning from 14:00 to 15:30. The racing proper takes place on Sunday, 25th October, commencing at 10:00, with further races scheduled throughout the afternoon. A ceremonial parade lap will be held at 14:00, culminating in the awards ceremony at 16:00.

The championship embraces six distinct categories: Junior, Challenger, Women, Rookies, Veterans, and Master, affording competitors of varying age groups and experience levels the opportunity to demonstrate their remarkable abilities and contend for coveted podium honours. This comprehensive categorisation reflects the inclusive philosophy that underpins the sport’s flourishing expansion across the globe.
