ADAFSA Unveils Transformative Corporate Identity Reflecting Commitment to Global Food Security Leadership

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority has launched a redesigned corporate identity that symbolises its strategic evolution, integrating sustainable agriculture, food safety and biosecurity within a unified framework aligned with the Emirate's Agricultural Transformation Strategy.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has unveiled a new corporate identity that represents a significant milestone in its institutional journey, coinciding with the organisation’s participation in World Food Week in Abu Dhabi. The launch signals a transformative phase for the authority, translating the strategic objectives of Abu Dhabi’s Agricultural Transformation Strategy, which was approved by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister.

A Symbol of Integrated Food Security

The redesigned identity reflects ADAFSA’s expanded mandate and evolving role within the food security ecosystem. The new logo, inspired by the Möbius strip—a mathematical symbol representing continuity, interconnectedness and sustainability—encapsulates the authority’s integrated approach to food systems. The shield-inspired form simultaneously embodies concepts of protection and resilience, reinforcing ADAFSA’s commitment to safeguarding Abu Dhabi’s food security and sustainability.

The visual identity is anchored upon three interconnected pillars: sustainable agriculture, food safety and biosecurity. This framework reflects an integrated system that spans the entire food chain, beginning with agricultural and livestock production and culminating in safe, sustainable food for current and future generations.

Strategic Innovation and Technological Advancement

His Excellency Dr Tarek Ahmed Al Amri, Acting Director General of ADAFSA, remarked: “Our new corporate identity represents more than a visual change; it marks a new phase in ADAFSA’s journey, aligned with the objectives of the Agricultural Transformation Strategy, which is shaping the future of the agricultural and food sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.”

The identity embodies a strategic shift towards a development model increasingly driven by innovation, technology, data and artificial intelligence. These capabilities support enhanced sustainability of natural resources, improved agricultural production efficiency, and strengthened resilience of food supply chains capable of meeting future requirements.

Empowerment and Partnership at the Centre

ADAFSA’s institutional approach now places sustainability, innovation, empowerment and partnership at the core of its operations. The authority continues to invest in advanced technologies and data analytics whilst enabling farmers, livestock breeders and producers to improve natural resource efficiency and enhance the competitiveness of local produce. Dr Al Amri emphasised: “Through the Agricultural Transformation Strategy, we continue to invest in advanced technologies, artificial intelligence and data, while working to enable farmers, livestock breeders and producers, improve the efficiency of natural resource use, and enhance the competitiveness of local produce.”

The new identity marks the beginning of a revised institutional communication strategy, through which ADAFSA seeks to present its role with greater clarity and coherence whilst strengthening engagement across diverse societal segments and partners. Food security is positioned as a shared responsibility and long-term investment in Abu Dhabi’s future.

The visual and strategic expression of ADAFSA’s transformation unifies its various roles and initiatives under a singular vision focused on building an integrated food system that harmonises production, sustainability, safety and innovation. This corporate evolution reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as a global model for sustainable agricultural development and food security leadership.
