ADREC and Hub71 forge partnership to drive innovation in Abu Dhabi's real estate sector

A landmark collaboration between the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre and the emirate's leading technology ecosystem will connect property market professionals with innovative startups, fostering digital transformation and competitive advancement.

The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC), operating under the Department of Municipalities and Transport as the emirate’s real estate regulator and custodian, has entered into a strategic partnership with Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s preeminent global technology ecosystem. The agreement, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding at LIVEX 2026, the Liveability and Investment Exhibition, represents a significant initiative to integrate technological innovation with the real estate sector.

The collaborative framework establishes a structured pathway for technology startups to access regulated market opportunities whilst addressing tangible challenges within Abu Dhabi’s property industry. Startups will benefit from access to government stakeholders, industry partners and genuine customer demand, enabling them to validate solutions at scale. Simultaneously, ADREC gains early exposure to emerging technologies and talent capable of advancing sector priorities.

ADREC will work systematically to identify sector-specific challenges and connect Hub71-supported startups with pilot opportunities to test and refine their solutions. The Centre will also recommend relevant startups from its network to Hub71’s programmes whilst contributing specialist sector knowledge to the ecosystem’s selection procedures, ensuring alignment with real estate market needs.

Rashed Al Omaira, Director-General of ADREC, emphasised the strategic importance of the initiative: “Technology is central to how Abu Dhabi’s real estate sector grows and stays competitive. Our work with Hub71 connects the real estate and technology sectors. It gives us access to the startups and talent that can help address real priorities, from how the market is regulated to how people buy, sell, and manage property. We want to test practical solutions, adopt the ones that work, and keep Abu Dhabi a transparent, efficient and future-ready real estate market for residents, investors and businesses.”

Ahmad Ali Alwan, Chief Executive Officer of Hub71, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership’s potential: “We are excited to partner with ADREC to unlock new opportunities for technology founders and accelerate innovation across Abu Dhabi’s real estate sector. By working directly with sector and government stakeholders, startups can test their technologies against practical use cases, deepen their understanding of the sector’s priorities, and refine solutions with a clearer path to adoption.”

Beyond direct technology integration, the partnership encompasses joint community engagement, workshops and mentorship initiatives. ADREC specialists will contribute expertise to Hub71 activities and facilitate knowledge transfer programmes, supporting startup development through mentored learning and sector-specific guidance.

The agreement is established for an initial two-year term, providing a substantial foundation for developing meaningful collaborations and demonstrating measurable outcomes across Abu Dhabi’s real estate innovation landscape.
