Ajman Artificial Intelligence Lab Inaugurates to Transform Government Service Delivery

A pioneering initiative under the Ajman Artificial Intelligence Programme convenes government representatives to develop practical applications addressing real institutional challenges and advancing the emirate's digital transformation agenda.
The Ajman Artificial Intelligence Lab has formally commenced its inaugural sessions, bringing together an accomplished assembly of government representatives and programme committee members to explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in addressing authentic governmental challenges. The Lab operates under the Ajman Artificial Intelligence Programme, a strategic initiative led by Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar Al Nuaimi, reflecting the emirate’s commitment to advancing digital innovation across its public institutions.
Dr Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, Secretary General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Ajman, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Lab’s operations, observing the progress of participating work teams and examining the key focus areas guiding the initiative. Throughout his visit, Dr Al Matrooshi engaged with presentations detailing the use cases and innovative ideas under development, whilst exploring how artificial intelligence applications might address existing challenges within government operations and enhance institutional performance.
Established pursuant to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, the Lab represents a Government-wide transformation initiative designed to strengthen the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies. This strategic approach contributes to enhancing government service delivery and improving operational efficiency, thereby supporting the overarching objectives outlined within Ajman Vision 2030.
The two-day programme concentrates upon the practical application of the Artificial Intelligence Conceptual Reference framework for Ajman Government. Participants engage in identifying and assessing opportunities in accordance with institutional readiness, risk considerations and anticipated value creation criteria. The inaugural day featured interactive sessions and practical activities during which participants explored tangible challenges within their respective entities, developed preliminary use cases for Agentic AI technologies, and exchanged expertise to cultivate innovative solutions.
As the Lab progresses into its second day, participants continue to refine the proposed use cases and prepare comprehensive presentations of work team outputs. This structured approach enables the identification of subsequent steps within the broader Ajman Artificial Intelligence Programme, ensuring a methodical pathway towards comprehensive digital transformation across the emirate’s government institutions.
