Ajman Department of Finance Streamlines Services Through Customer-Centric Enhancements

The Ajman Department of Finance has unveiled significant improvements to key financial and digital services, marking another milestone in the emirate's commitment to zero bureaucracy and elevated public administration.

The Ajman Department of Finance has demonstrated its commitment to operational excellence by enhancing two cornerstone services that serve both government entities and the broader community. During a recent Customer Gathering, the Department unveiled refined versions of its Financial Enquiries and Consultations service alongside its User Access Permissions for Systems and Applications offering.

The initiative reflects a deliberate strategy to eliminate unnecessary bureaucratic obstacles whilst maintaining rigorous standards. By simplifying procedural requirements and reducing the steps necessary for transaction completion, the Department has created more accessible pathways for citizens and government bodies alike to access critical financial and digital services.

The enhancements emerged from careful analysis of service delivery patterns and user requirements. Rather than imposing changes from above, the Department conducted detailed comparative reviews of service journeys before and after modifications, enabling stakeholders to appreciate the tangible improvements achieved. This transparent approach underscores the Department’s respect for public understanding and engagement.

Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, Director-General of the Ajman Department of Finance, articulated the philosophical foundation guiding these reforms. “We believe that the most effective government services are built around the customer experience,” he noted, emphasising that continuous review and simplification remain central to departmental operations. “Guided by this approach, we continuously review and simplify our services and procedures while drawing on customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.”

The Customer Gathering itself served as more than a presentation forum. It functioned as a structured consultation mechanism, enabling government stakeholders and service users to articulate their experiences, identify persistent challenges, and propose innovative solutions. This participatory methodology ensures that future service development remains grounded in genuine user needs rather than administrative assumptions.

The Department has committed to a rigorous analytical process for insights gathered during the session. Proposals will be evaluated according to feasibility and anticipated impact, with priority ideas directly informing improvement strategies and development roadmaps. This disciplined approach ensures that resources are deployed toward enhancements delivering measurable gains in both service quality and operational efficiency.

These developments align harmoniously with the Ajman Government’s broader strategic direction toward zero bureaucracy—a governance philosophy emphasising simplification, transparency and citizen-centricity. By methodically reviewing and refining service delivery mechanisms, the Department exemplifies how modern public administration can balance accessibility with accountability.
