Ajman Tourism Department embarks on Central Asian promotional roadshow

A strategic initiative to showcase the emirate's distinctive cultural heritage and natural attractions across Tashkent and Almaty strengthens Ajman's position as a premier year-round destination.

The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media is undertaking a purposeful promotional roadshow throughout Central Asia from 12 to 16 October, with carefully curated presentations scheduled in Tashkent on 13 October and Almaty on 15 October. This deliberate initiative represents a significant endeavour to diversify tourism source markets, cultivate enduring relationships with travel industry partners and explore promising strategic collaborations across the region.

Throughout these engagements, the department will illuminate Ajman’s extraordinary cultural heritage, remarkable natural attractions, celebrated hospitality and exceptional family experiences, alongside the emirate’s diverse leisure offerings. This comprehensive presentation aims to elevate Ajman’s international visibility and position the emirate as a compelling, accessible and distinctly memorable destination welcoming visitors throughout the year.

The roadshow exemplifies Ajman’s commitment to expanding its global partner network whilst establishing the emirate as an increasingly attractive option for travellers representing numerous segments and preferences. By fostering these meaningful connections with Central Asian markets, the initiative reinforces the foundation for sustained and measured tourism growth.

Mahmood Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, articulated the significance of this endeavour: “Promotional roadshows play a fundamental role in cultivating enduring relationships with travel and tourism partners and reinforcing Ajman’s presence across international markets. Through our visits to Tashkent and Almaty, we endeavour to deepen engagement with the travel trade, identify emerging opportunities for cooperation, and introduce increasingly diverse audiences to Ajman’s distinctive tourism experiences.”

He further emphasised that Central Asia represents a considerable opportunity within the broader market diversification strategy. “By establishing direct relationships with partners in these markets, we are advancing sustainable visitor growth, broadening Ajman’s international reach and strengthening the competitive positioning of the emirate’s tourism sector,” he noted.
