Al Asayl 2026 Celebrates Heritage Sports with Fifth Edition at Expo Al Dhaid
The prestigious exhibition opens with over 80 exhibitors showcasing specialised supplies and equipment for horses, camels and falcons, reinforcing Al Dhaid's position as a centre for traditional sports.
The fifth edition of Al Asayl 2026 has opened at Expo Al Dhaid, bringing together an impressive gathering of more than 80 companies and brands dedicated to the care and pursuit of horses, camels and falcons. Running until 27 September, the exhibition represents a significant showcase for suppliers, equipment specialists, and organisations involved in equestrianism, falconry, camel racing and traditional sports.
Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the opening ceremony welcomed Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI; Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI; and Mohammad Musabah Al Tunaiji, Director of SCCI’s Al Dhaid Branch and Director of Expo Al Dhaid, alongside government officials from the Central Region.
The exhibition floor presents a comprehensive range of specialised offerings, from stable equipment and equestrian supplies to falconry tools and animal transportation solutions. Visitors encounter products and services spanning animal care and welfare, breeding supplies, and equipment designed to support the traditional practices that form an integral part of Emirati heritage.
Abdallah Al Owais emphasised the exhibition’s role as a specialised platform connecting companies, entrepreneurs and suppliers with animal owners and sports enthusiasts. Hosting Al Asayl in Al Dhaid, he noted, strengthens the Central Region’s position as a destination for those passionate about heritage sports whilst providing national companies with valuable opportunities to showcase their offerings and expand their commercial reach.
Mohammad Musabah Al Tunaiji reflected on the exhibition’s trajectory, stating that reaching its fifth edition underscores the significance of such specialised events. The diverse participation of exhibitors enables visitors to access a wide range of organisations and expert solutions whilst allowing providers to engage directly with owners and practitioners, gaining valuable insight into their requirements and challenges.
The exhibition offers attendees the opportunity to explore both established and innovative solutions across stable management, breeding practices, animal care, transportation and falconry disciplines. Throughout the weekend, an accompanying programme of educational and interactive activities will engage visitors on stage, enriching their experience of this significant celebration of traditional sports.
