The Abu Dhabi-headquartered investment holding company demonstrates resilience across its diversified business divisions, with revenue reaching AED58.3 billion and strategic investments in artificial intelligence, private credit and international expansion driving sustainable growth.
The financial architecture of a truly global investment company reveals itself not merely in profit figures, but in the texture of strategic choices that underpin them. Alpha Dhabi Holding, the Abu Dhabi-listed investment holding company, has delivered nine-month results that speak to disciplined capital deployment across sectors positioned for long-term transformation.
The Group posted net profit of AED12.8 billion for the nine-month period ended 30 September 2026, representing a 23 per cent increase from the corresponding period in 2025. This performance emerged from revenue of AED58.3 billion, itself up 6.1 per cent year-on-year, underpinned by contributions across its diversified portfolio of operating businesses and portfolio companies.
The financial foundation proves substantial. Total assets reached AED236.4 billion, up 10 per cent compared to the close of 2025, while total equity strengthened to AED114.6 billion. Cash and bank balances stood at AED36.5 billion, providing the financial flexibility essential to a company navigating evolving market dynamics whilst maintaining its strategic focus on emerging opportunities.
Across the Group’s operating divisions, the performance reflects balanced contribution. Real Estate generated AED22.2 billion in external revenue, followed by Industrial at AED21.3 billion, Construction at AED8.6 billion, and Services and Others at AED6.2 billion. Significantly, portfolio companies generated AED7.7 billion of revenue beyond the UAE’s borders, representing 13.2 per cent of total revenue and demonstrating the expanding international reach of the Group’s investments.
The strategic priorities that shaped this performance signal Alpha Dhabi’s conviction about sectors poised for transformation. As we reported in Alpha Dhabi’s commitment of US$1 billion to Alpha Wave III, the Group has committed capital to artificial intelligence and high-growth technology ventures. This commitment expanded in the nine-month period through a deepened partnership in private credit, where Alpha Dhabi doubled its capital commitment to the MICAD Credit JV managed by Mubadala Capital to US$1 billion, increasing its ownership to 40 per cent. The partnership now manages approximately US$1.7 billion in assets across 45 portfolio companies.
Within the portfolio, Aldar, the real estate development and investment company within the Group, signed a forward purchase agreement worth AED1.1 billion with Arada, its first real estate investment in Sharjah. The transaction covers more than 1,100 residential units across nine buildings in Aljada, scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2029, expanding Aldar’s develop-to-hold pipeline to AED21 billion.
PureHealth, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East and part of the Alpha Dhabi portfolio, retained its provisional AAA ESG rating from MSCI for the second consecutive year, with an assessment score approximately 30 per cent above industry average. The recognition reflects measurable progress in climate action and social impact, including an 11 per cent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions compared with 2024.
In marine engineering and construction, NMDC Group inaugurated the Abu Al Bakhoush, a 148-meter self-propelled heavy-duty cutter suction dredger certified under the GREEN PASSPORT sustainability standard. The vessel strengthens the Group’s international capacity and reinforces its commitment to sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Mohamed Thani Murshed Ghannam Al Rumaithi, Chairman of Alpha Dhabi Holding, remarked on the performance: “Our strong nine-month performance reflects the resilience of the UAE economy and the strength of Alpha Dhabi’s diversified portfolio. We remain focused on disciplined capital allocation, portfolio optimisation and investment in sectors with compelling long-term potential.”
Eng. Hamad Al Ameri, Managing Director and Group CEO, added: “We continued to translate our strategy into disciplined execution across a portfolio growing in scale, capability and geographic reach. We advanced our priorities through investments in artificial intelligence, global technology and private credit, while strengthening our international presence.”
What it means for Abu Dhabi
Alpha Dhabi’s sustained growth and strategic pivot towards sectors including artificial intelligence, healthcare, sustainable infrastructure and international expansion reflect Abu Dhabi’s positioning as a global investment and innovation hub. The Group’s disciplined approach to capital deployment across multiple geographies and industries demonstrates how the emirate’s sovereign and institutional investors are building enterprises capable of thriving through market cycles whilst contributing meaningfully to the diversification imperatives that shape the UAE’s long-term economic vision.
The company’s emphasis on sectors such as digital banking, advanced infrastructure and energy technology aligns with Abu Dhabi’s broader strategic priorities. As the Group enters the remainder of 2026 with strong momentum and proven resilience, its performance serves as a marker of institutional confidence in the UAE’s economic trajectory and the quality of investment opportunities available within and beyond the emirate’s borders.
