Archipelago of Whispers: A Multisensory Journey Through Alternative Knowledge

We are invited to step into a world of alternative narratives at 421 Arts Campus, where the exhibition ‘Archipelago of Whispers’ unfolds as an immersive exploration of knowledge beyond conventional structures. Curated with intellectual rigour by Deniz Kirkali and Elham Puriya Mehr, this compelling presentation assembles works by a distinguished roster of international artists including Aliaskar Abarkas, Farah Al Qasimi, Ruba Al Sweel, Gizem Karakaş, Yen Chun Lin, Omar Mismar, and Ayman Zedani.
The exhibition traverses a multisensory landscape where whispers, murmurs, hums, gossip and storytelling emerge as legitimate infrastructures for the generation and transmission of knowledge. Through carefully orchestrated video installations, sound compositions, and live performance, we discover how these intimate and communal modes of communication challenge traditional frameworks for understanding and meaning making. Each artistic contribution invites us to reconsider how knowledge circulates within society, moving beyond formal channels to embrace the fluid, often ephemeral nature of human connection and cultural exchange.
This is a rare opportunity to engage with contemporary artistic practice at the highest level, where form and concept intertwine with remarkable sophistication. The exhibition remains on view until 10 January 2027, and we may visit freely at any time during this period. To arrange your visit, simply contact the campus directly.
